West Ham reportedly accept low bid for star winger - Green Street Hammers

West Ham have reportedly accepted a bid of only £12 million for, star of the preseason, Grady Diangana from West Bromwich Albion.

Grady Diangana was on loan at the Hawthorns last season. During his loan spell, the winger developed his game and became one of the best attackers in the Championship. West Ham fans saw this improvement to the 22-year-olds skillset.

Fans become excited to the prospect of seeing him perform in the claret and blue. But now it seems that Diangana will be playing in the Premier League in the blue and white of the Baggies after the Telegraph reported that the club has accepted a £12 million bid for him, a figure that could rise to £18 million.

The acceptance of this bid, if true, will surely put Hammers fans in a sour mood, especially with the lack of incoming players so far this window. David Moyes has evidently been given little to no money to spend on new talent.

This lack of backing has already seen the club miss out on targets such as Eberechi Eze and Shane Duffy who have joined Crystal Palace and Celtic. Moyes has already had to sell players like Jordan Hugill and Albian Ajeti to raise funds.

The funds that have been raised are yet to be spent on, as has seen to be used to pay off other transfer payments scheduled for this summer. It does become a worry that if this bid has been accepted, the money would not be reinvested into the squad, leaving the Hammers shortchanged.

It was reported earlier in the window that the club had put a £25 million price tag on the winger. If that were the selling price, at least it would have been enough to sign a quality replacement like Said Benrahma of Brentford.

It remains to be seen if there is any truth in the Telegraphs report. It does seem very unlikely that the club would be stupid enough to accept such a low fee for a player that has the potential to become an excellent Premier League player.
