Drones (otherwise known as Unmanned Aerial Systems or UAS) are playing an increasingly large role in modern life, as experienced recently by three members of the Central Colorado UAS Club, who had direct experience with damage assessment after Hurricane Laura hit Texas and Louisiana areas this year.
Those experiences will be shared with the Club at 9:00 a.m. Dec. 5. The group plans to meet at the Buena Vista Airport in the conference room as well as via Zoom.
The Club, which meets the first Tuesday of each month (usually at the Buena Vista airport), is looking forward to its new, state-of-the-art park that is under construction next to the rodeo facilities. The four-zone park will feature basic qualification and training areas in addition to racing and obstacle courses.
The group leaders say they are always looking for new members. For more information contact club president Taylor Albrecht at ccuasclub@gmail.com. Use this contact as well to get Zoom meeting credentials.
