How to Share an Apple Card With Your Family - PCMag

suitersa.blogspot.com

You may already have an Apple Card that you use to pay for items in person or online. Rather than keep your Apple Card all to yourself, why not share it with other family members so they too can purchase items? With the Apple Card family sharing plan, up to six people can share an Apple Card account.

One person 18 or older can be designated as an account co-owner, which means they share full responsibility of the account balance and payments alongside the card’s initial owner. They can build credit together with the owner, though their credit histories and credit report will be separate. A co-owner receives unlimited Daily Cash rewards on their transactions and can order a physical titanium Apple Card for participants under 18.

Co-owners have the power to add or remove participants, view the credit and purchase activity of participants, and receive notifications on participant spending. They can also request a credit limit increase, set transaction limits for participants, and lock a participant's ability to spend.

Any family members 13 years or older can be designated as a participant, which is someone able to use the shared Apple Card and get unlimited Daily Cash rewards on all transactions. They are not responsible for paying the credit card bill but can view their own transactions and other details.

Participants can either spend up to the credit limit on the account or an optional limit that the owner or co-owner may set. Those 18 years old or older can order their own titanium Apple Card and opt to build credit and be reported on the account.

In order to add a co-owner or participants to your Apple Card, they must first be a member of your Apple Family Sharing group. For the steps covering how to invite family members, we’ll assume you already own and use an Apple Card yourself. If not, here's how to sign up for and use an Apple Card.
