ALBANY — Beginning Saturday, the Washington Park Farmer’s Market will begin accepting SNAP benefits and FMNP (Farmer’s Market Nutrition Program) checks for purchase eligible products from vendors. The Lark Street BID and Make A Play Inc. have partnered to provide staffing and booth equipment, as well as mask and sanitizer stations at each entrance to the market.
“One of the values we do our best to uphold at our market is inclusivity, and you can see that reflected each week by the amazing diversity of vendors featured here," said Scott Abraham, the market director. "It’s just as important that we make the Market as welcoming as possible by improving access to our vendors’ offerings for the entire community.”
