With a line that wrapped around Saint Mark AME Zion Church, dozens waited patiently to receive gifts from the East Palo Alto church. Parents were able to take their kids to the church and receive toys for the holidays.

Some waited in the long line along Bay Road that wrapped around to Clarke Avenue, while others chose to drive their vehicles into the parking lot of the church and receive their gifts that way. The event was sponsored by Saint Mark AME Zion Church along with WeHOPE, Saint Samuel COGIC Church, and Samaritan House.

Besides the gifts, people were treated to some popcorn and hot chocolate.

Members of the Palo Alto Police Department also helped by handing out gifts and directing traffic.
