Residents have shared dozens of photos and videos of black bears around Marion County with Ocala-News.com.
Gail Carter says this large bear came through her property near 160th Avenue Road and the Ocklawaha River last week around 4 p.m. An hour later, Carter says her husband saw a mother bear with three small cubs in a neighbor’s yard, and after that, another juvenile bear walked past the Carter’s house.
Lisa Milton Corley says she spotted this black bear in her backyard in Marion Oaks. Corley says she believes the bear is part of a mother, father, and 2-cub sloth of bears.
James Bird spotted this black bear in a wooded area while traveling along S.R. 33.
Salvatore Di Domenico says he spotted this black bear strolling through his front yard in Marion Oaks one afternoon this week.
Connie Downs saw this black bear in her backyard just north of Marion Oaks.
Cliff Frizzell says he spotted this black bear in his backyard in North Lake last week. The bear crossed Frizzell’s yard at sunrise.
Jimmy Stuart spotted this black bear near his home recently.
