Penrith and New South Wales halfback Nathan Cleary and housemate and fellow Panther Tyrone May have accepted two-week suspensions and hefty fines imposed by the NRL Integrity Unit.
The additional sanctions come after both players were issued notices alleging they were untruthful in relation to an investigation into social-distancing breaches.
The Panthers confirmed the pair had accepted the penlaties handed down in a statement on Tuesday.
"Panthers supports the sanctions proposed by the NRL in relation to Nathan Cleary and Tyrone May," the statement said.
"Both players have this morning expressed sincere remorse for their actions and confirmed to the club they will accept the proposed sanctions.
"The club will continue to provide Nathan and Tyrone with the support they require as the team prepares for the recommencement of the 2020 NRL season."
The investigation was launched when photos of Cleary with a group of female visitors emerged on social media. The ANZAC Day visit was in breach of New South Wales social distancing restrictions. Cleary explained to the Integrity Unit that the incident was brief and he was unaware of the photos being taken.
Video was then found on social media platform TikTok which indicated Cleary was fully involved and the visit was not as brief as he had claimed.
"I messed up, I spoke to the integrity unit about what happened but they didn't ask me about the TikTok videos, they just asked me about the pictures and I've already told them about that," Cleary told The Daily Telegraph in April.
"I wish I hadn't done the video, just got carried away in the moment. I was stupid. I messed up."
Cleary will miss the opening two games of the season resumption, while May will add two weeks to the five weeks he has left to serve for four counts of intentionally recording an intimate image without consent.
Cleary will be fined $30,000, while May has been hit with a $15,000 fine.
Panthers Group CEO Brian Fletcher issued a statement supporting the sanctions on behalf or the club.
"Our club has a responsibility to our members, our corporate partners, our community and the game as a whole to uphold certain standards of behaviour.
"When a player or staff member falls short of those standards, as has been the case in this instance, there must be meaningful consequences.
"To that end Panthers supports the sanctions proposed by the NRL in relation to Nathan Cleary and Tyrone May.
"Both players have this morning expressed sincere remorse for their actions and confirmed to the club they will accept the proposed sanctions.
"The club will continue to provide Nathan and Tyrone with the support they require as the team prepares for the recommencement of the 2020 NRL season."
