Share Your Post-Pandemic Firsts

What will you do when the pandemic finally wanes? The Times would love to hear from you.

Remember life before masks and social distancing? What will be the first things you embrace when the pandemic ends?

With the number of coronavirus cases, and deaths, setting records almost daily, news that a vaccine could be ready before the end of 2020 was a ray of hope — the first suggestion that there might be an “after time” to the pandemic, as well as the fondly remembered “before time.”

The advent of the vaccine will not mean an immediate end to the pandemic. It will take months for it to roll out and to be available to individuals across the country. The health of many individuals will continue to suffer from aftereffects of Covid-19, and the virus has taken its toll in so many other ways: loved ones lost, jobs that have vanished, education disrupted, the threat of eviction.

Still, the prospect of a post-pandemic future raises a tantalizing question: What is the first thing you are hoping do when “normal” life resumes? Hop on a plane to visit your mother across the country? Hug your grandchildren for the first time? Drink in a packed bar or take in a Broadway show? Play games on the lawn with your friends? Please tell us your “post-pandemic first” using the form below.
