The Arizona Eye Institute and Cosmetic Laser Center will celebrate its 33rd anniversary with a virtual gala event that will be filled with exciting and valuable surprises.
The event is scheduled 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25. Visit AZEyeinstitute.com/Gala. There will also be a live streamed eyelid surgery at noon.
“Our gala has become an important tradition for the entire community and it means a lot that we can still get together in a safe manner and share our appreciation for protecting good vision, building great confidence and for each other,” said Emilio M. Justo, M.D., Arizona Eye Institute and Cosmetic Laser Center founder and Medical director.
He founded the practice in 1989 and since has grown it to feature laser eyelid surgery and customized laser cataract surgery with premium lens options. The practice, which has three locations in Sun City, 10701 W. Bell Road; Sun City West, 19052 R.H. Johnson Blvd.; and Wickenburg, 500 W. Savage St., also offers medical optometry, an optical boutique and popular aesthetics services ranging from skin care to Botox and even permanent cosmetics. The services and providers will be highlighted as part of the event.
“We pride ourselves on being a one stop shop for many important vision and beauty health services that can transform quality of life,” Dr. Justo said. “Our providers are top in their professions and become close to patients they care for, so we all enjoy taking a moment to celebrate this big milestone as we work to keep our community happy and healthy.”
The gala is typically planned as an in-person event, but for the second year will be virtual with anticipation of a live event at a future date.

Dr. Justo will also perform an upper eyelid surgery, a popular procedure often authorized through insurance, at noon that will be live-streamed for guests to watch from their computers or devices.
“Many of our guests look forward to seeing just how easy it is to undergo upper eyelid surgery, to the point that patients can answer questions immediately following the procedure,” Dr. Justo said.
