Refusing to accept petitions – Knox County VillageSoup - Courier-Gazette & Camden Herald

suitersa.blogspot.com

Are the voters of Camden aware that the Camden Select Board has refused to accept legal petitions from the Town’s voters and residents regarding the board’s plan to remove the Montgomery Dam? These petitions should be accepted and entered into the record, not ignored, and I fail to understand how the Board of Selectmen can think they can ignore the law. Please contact the board to register your opinion on this issue. Thank you.

The Camden Herald encourages letters to the editor of no more than 350 words; longer letters may not run or may be edited. The Camden Herald will not publish letters that violate standards of good taste, make libelous allegations, endorse commercial products or attack a specific private individual or business. We discourage “thank-you” letters that list benefactors. For reasons of fairness, and to allow time for rebuttal or correction, The Camden Herald will not publish election letters in the edition immediately prior to the election. Deadline is Friday at 5 p.m. for consideration for the Thursday edition. Send to editor@villagesoup.com.
