The NFL Players Association and Deshaun Watson said they will accept the decision and potential punishment regarding the quarterback violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy, according to a joint statement issued Sunday night. The ruling from disciplinary officer Sue L. Robinson will be issued on Monday, a source told The Athletic.
While Robinson has not tipped her hand with the ruling, there is a feeling in the Browns’ building that it could be a four-game to eight-game suspension. With its statement, the NFLPA made it clear it will not appeal the decision.

“Every player, owner, business partner and stakeholder deserves to know that our process is legitimate and will not be tarnished based on the whims of the League office,” the players’ union said. “This is why, regardless of her decision, Deshaun and the NFLPA will stand by her ruling and we call on the NFL to do the same.”
Robinson’s ruling isn’t final, as NFL commissioner Roger Goodell could choose to overrule the decision. The league was reportedly seeking an indefinite suspension against Watson in June.
Watson faces a suspension in the wake of allegations from dozens of massage therapists who accused the quarterback of sexual misconduct during appointments. He has made settlements with 20 of the 24 civil suits filed against him.
