CORAL SPRINGS, FL – The Florida Department of Health in Broward County’s Covid-19 vaccine scheduling website was expected to accept new appointments on Thursday, the city of Coral Springs announced.
The site, which is for residents 65 and older, is by appointment only for drive-thru and walk-up sites, and it hasn’t been accepting new appointments after a backlog of close to 40,000 people.

According to the city, the site will continue to schedule appointments for one-week time periods.
Also, a new phone line was expected to go live for scheduling: 866-201-6313.
Appointments are for the drive-thru sites across the county and a walk-up site at Coral Square Mall in Coral Springs. Click here for the site locations.
In a message posted on Nextdoor, city officials reiterated that all appointments must be made through the site when it opens Thursday.
The message said: “We understand the frustration of concerned residents who are waiting to be vaccinated to protect themselves against COVID-19. City staff and your Coral Springs Commission are doing their part to assist with the distribution process in the NW corridor of Broward County. We are proud that to-date, more than 3,000 seniors have been vaccinated at the Coral Springs location.”
Officials encouraged residents to sign up for the city’s text messaging service to find out about vaccine-related and other information. To sign up, text the keyword coralsprings (one word) to 888-777.
For those going to the public vaccination sites, you must be 65 or older and have a valid government-issued ID (driver's license).
