(CNN) - IKEA is making its customers acknowledge the safety risks of using some of its furniture.
Friday the Swedish company announced it's requiring US shoppers to acknowledge that its dressers could tip over, and owners must attach the items to the wall.
The customers must accept the risk before they can buy the items. IKEA says shoppers can accept the conditions and register online. They must provide their name and an email address.
The move comes after IKEA recalled millions of dressers that were prone to tip over.
The furniture was blamed for the deaths of at least nine children and injuries of dozens more.
