(WKOW/CNN) -- IKEA says it will now make its customers acknowledge the safety risks of using some of its furniture before they're allowed to purchase it.
On Friday, the Swedish company announced it's requiring U.S. shoppers to acknowledge that its dressers could tip over and that owners must attach the items to the wall.
The customers must accept the conditions and register online before they buy. They must also provide a name and email address.
The move comes after IKEA recalled millions of dressers that were prone to tip over.
The furniture is blamed for the deaths of at least nine children and the injuries of dozens more.
