We want to hear from those who have lost a teacher, a brother, a bandmate or any of the other more than 430,000 Americans who have died in the pandemic.
A study in December found that a majority of Americans knew someone who had been hospitalized or died from Covid-19, and since then the number of Americans who have died from the coronavirus has surpassed 430,000.
But for those who have lost a teacher, a brother, a spouse or someone else important to them, the loss is beyond anything numbers can convey. What does it mean to lose a loved one as part of a pandemic? How, in social isolation, do we grieve? How do we remember those who have died?
If you’ve lost someone significant in your life to Covid-19, we want to hear from you. We invite you to share your story below and submit a video or photograph of the person as you remember him or her. Submissions may be included in an upcoming interactive feature on grief in the pandemic.
