ST. PAUL, MN -- DFL Party leaders in Minnesota are calling on Republicans in the state to walk back their comments regarding the 2020 election.
In a letter, Minnesota DFL Party chairman, Ken Martin, said GOP members need to correct the misinformation they've spread.
Martin said the elections were not stolen, and there was no widespread voter fraud.
He added Republicans need to denounce the events that unfolded at the U.S. Capitol two weeks ago, stand up for democracy and accept Joe Biden as the President-elect.
"Enough lying, enough hedging, enough doublespeak. This is unacceptable. This is dangerous, and it has to stop," said Martin.
Martin specifically named Congressman Pete Stauber, and state Senate Majority Leader Paul Gazelka, among others.
We did reach out to Minnesota's Republican party chairwoman for comment. We did not hear back as of publishing time.
