ANSTERDAM – Paint and wood coatings specialist AkzoNobel is nearing completion of its share buyback program announced last October.
In the period from April 6-9, it repurchased another 84,800 of its common shares at an average price of euro 97.59 per share, for a total value of euro 8.28 million.
The company initially said it planned to repurchase shares up to a value of euro 300 million. The total shares repurchased to date is 3,167,612, with a total value of euro 280.69 million.
The company said it expects to complete the share buyback during the first half and has engaged a third party to manage the program and perform transactions on its behalf.
