JOHNSON CITY (WBNG) -- Governor Andrew Cuomo announced Tuesday afternoon that all state-run vaccination sites will accept walk-ins beginning April 29.
Cuomo made the announcement at the mass vaccination site at 10 Gannett Dr. in Johnson City.
Lt. Governor Kathy Hochul tweeted that state residents who are 16-year-old or older will be able to walk into any vaccination site and get vaccinated.
Cuomo said local health departments will be given the option if they want to begin accepting walk-ins for the vaccinations on Thursday.
On April 23, some state-run sites began accepting walk-ins for 60-year-olds and older. The site in Johnson City was one of those sites.
