Austin, Texas – No. 7 Men's Tennis claimed a share of their second-straight Big 12 regular season championship, finishing with a 4-1 conference record and in a three-way tie with No. 2 Baylor and No. 6 TCU.

After winning the title outright in 2019, the Big 12 season was not played in 2020 due to the pandemic, and the Longhorns used a 4-1 win at No. 21 Texas Tech on Sunday to close their conference slate and earn a share of their ninth regular season Big 12 championship in program history.

The three-way tie between the teams was created when the Longhorns won at Baylor on Thursday and Baylor defeated TCU on Sunday, after TCU had downed Texas in a third-set tiebreaker of the final singles match on April 3.

Seeding for the 2021 Big 12 Tournament will take place based on the rankings of the three teams by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association this week after all other tiebreakers came up even between them. The tournament will be held in Waco from Saturday, April 24 through Monday, April 26, with the top two seeds receiving first-round byes.
