Tennessee — It’s a trend that people receiving vaccinations are taking to in droves, posting pictures of themselves with their COVID-19 vaccination card.

Now, the Tennessee Department of Health is issuing a warning about the trend, saying that it could do more harm than good.

The health department tweeted out, telling people that posting any personal information on social media could lead to fraud.

That includes information like your birthday as well as health information such as your patient number, the type of vaccine you received and the date you received it.

The health department said this information can help criminals steal your identity.

If you suffer identity theft, the Tennessee Department of Health said to report suspicious activity to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
