2021 NIVC Bracket
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – HBU will take on host and Mountain West regular-season champion Colorado State in the first round of the National Invitational Volleyball Championship Thursday.
The Huskies will be making their first postseason appearance since HBU returned to Division I in 2007. With a 21-8 overall mark, HBU has tied its highest win total in 10 seasons under Southland Conference Coach of the Year Trent Herman and finished in second place in the league with a 12-2 record, one match behind eventual champion Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
HBU is led by three first-team all-conference selections in junior setter Ellie Wipf, senior middle blocker Ebonie Ballesteros, junior right side Anna Gadway, third-team selections in sophomore libero Kaley Feris and freshman middle blocker Audrey Pearce, as well as senior outside hitter Mikayla Vivens and senior middle blocker Jada Allen.
Thursday's match will begin at 8:30 p.m. CDT with the winner advancing to face the winner of the matchup between Tulsa and UTEP Friday at 8 p.m. CDT.
