STATE COLLEGE — Jahan Dotson will join a couple of his Penn State teammates in Mobile, Ala., for the Reese’s Senior Bowl early next year.

The Nittany Lions star wide receiver accepted his invitation to the postseason all-star game, the Senior Bowl announced Tuesday, which will give Dotson the opportunity to showcase his talent to NFL teams early in the pre-draft process for the 2022 NFL Draft.

Dotson, a senior from Nazareth, has been Penn State’s most electric and consistent offensive player in 2021. The 5-foot-11, 184-pound Dotson has 83 catches for 1,045 yards and 10 touchdowns this season. His best game came in Penn State’s 31-14 victory over Maryland on Nov. 6 when he caught 11 passes for a program-record 242 yards and three touchdowns.

Over the course of the season, Dotson has emerged as one of the top wide receiver prospects in the 2022 NFL Draft. Multiple analysts project him to be a first-round pick come April.

Dotson currently ranked third all-time at Penn State in career receiving touchdowns (23), fourth in receiving yards (2,620) and fourth in receptions (175). He became the fourth player in program history to gain 1,000 receiving yards in a season during last week’s 28-0 win over Rutgers.

On Tuesday, Dotson was not among the three finalists announced for the Biletnikoff Award, which is given annually to the nation’s top receiver.

Dotson will join a couple of his teammates from the other side of the ball for the Senior Bowl. Defensive end Arnold Ebiketie, safety Jaquan Brisker and defensive end/linebacker Jesse Luketa have all accepted invitations to the Senior Bowl.

Luketa said he hasn’t made a decision on whether he’ll leave for the NFL or return to Penn State for a fifth season. Brisker is out of eligibility, while Dotson and Ebiketie appear set to be high picks in the draft.

Penn State closes out its 2021 season at No. 12 Michigan State on Saturday in East Lansing, Mich.
