Zagster has ended its Pace bike share program in Longmont due to impacts of COVID-19, the city announced Monday. The Pace bike share stations, at four locations in Longmont, will be removed by June 12.
“This was a difficult decision but a necessary one, for which we are truly sorry,” the city quoted the Pennsylvania-based bike-share provider as saying in a news release.
According to Penn State News, Zagster has ended its operations nationwide.
The city said that Pace bike share users will receive an email with details regarding the closures, and asked residents to contact Zagster directly with any questions regarding the closures at 202-999-3924.
“They will have limited staff remaining, so response time may be longer than usual,” the city press release said.
“The city remains committed to providing residents, employees and visitors with these viable, short-trip, ‘micromobility’ transportation options and will continue to work internally and with regional partners to pursue these possibilities for Longmont,” the release stated.
